Sanding Blades
Hello everyone, i need some input. I received a 3 pack of Fusuno 325 blades for my Tarot 450 DFC. My problem is that all the blades are a little to tight to give movement to the blade in the blade grip holder "If that makes sense". Can i sand the blade to make it fit into my blade grips without messing up the balance or tracking on the blades. I'm not sanding alot but enough to make them fit. Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: Sanding Blades
You can. Maybe use a sanding block and sand both at the same time to try to keep things even and weighted the same? Not sure the weight matters a whole lot at the root though. How tight are they? Are you sure they're the right blades for the heli? Don't think I've ever run into blade roots that were too large for the grips.
Re: Sanding Blades
Hey there pvolcko. I agree with you about never having my blades not fit inside my grips before. I did do some light sanding. Wasn't much but i made them work. I really wont know til the morning to find out how she flies. Like you said, it shouldn't matter a whole lot since is close to the root. Will see!

I've done that to some cheapos I bought once, too fat to fit in the grips, I used my dremel with a stone barrel shaped grinder to take them down a shade... Worked a treat..

Re: Sanding Blades
Fusuno makes great canopies and that's about it. I don't think their other parts are all that great. i bought a stab kit for my Protos Mini and both the vertical and horizontal had to be redrilled to fit correctly. In fact the horizontal stab was way over sized. It just looked odd. For blades look at KBDD or others.

Re: Sanding Blades
Thank you murankar. There canopies can take some abuse now. I bought a Fusuno canopy combo kit for my Tarot 450 " Tail/vertical fins & blades" and blades fit fine. This time i seen a 3 pack for $27.00 which i thought was a good deal. I guess the mold was a little off but after sanding to make it fit wasn't to bad. I'll fly the heli this morning to see if affected the balance or tracking. KBDD i do like them but I'm using RJX blades for my Gaui X3 at the time being so I'm going to try their blades on my 450. The RJX works fine for me so far. I guess no more 3 packs deals for me. Thanks again murankar.

Re: Sanding Blades
I dig the KBDD tail blades... Used them for about a year on my 450PRO DFC.. Those are great and seemed to give a tad bit more authority than the stock Align blades did as they were a bit longer and had a wider cord.

Re: Sanding Blades
The 325 mm KBDD blades are wide cord. They won't fold back like your rjx blades. That's the only thing I did not like about the wide cord. What's nice about the wide cord is that it reduces the disk loading without the extra length.
