That's really really good flying, Cameron! WOW! I'm gonna be honest here...I had to watch the video twice because I was watching the scenery a lot, too, lol. Your piro flips look great to me! I wish I could piro flip in any direction, lol. I try it on the sim but I just haven't been able to wrap my head around the concept yet. Anyway....awesome awesome flying!!!

Lol thanks Derek its a nice place for sure. I'm glad the goblins so visible otherwise I'd probably lose it in the background more often.

Thanks Paul!
As you know Lee it will get even nicer in summer with the green hills.
It wont take you long to get your skills back and learning new stuff once you get some nice weather.
Do you have any goals for the year?

I put a lipo in my DX 8 around December I think, haven't charged it since then. Stupidly I didn't chech the voltage last night and of course it ran out, didn't sound an alarm before it cut out completely. I was still in the mindset that it was the nimh battery's which sound an alarm before cutting out. Lipos of course don't do that.

Hence this happened!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5lA0JHoWPA

Lesson learned, check TX battery more often.
Damaged one blade and two of the smaller servo gears.
I really need to stop crashing, glad it was the 380 and not the 700, could have been incredibly dangerous!

Thanks Graham, responsibility's suck! lol

Two lessons learned from this in fact. One is always stay on top of all battery voltage and two, don't fly around people who don't know the dangers.
I'm pretty good at keeping a safe distance from myself and others. Not that there's many people around here to worry about, lol.
This at least is the first non pilot error crash I've had for quite a while.

Not too bad then Cam, been there and done that with the TX battery, mine was 4.2 volts when it packed up with my 450.. Lesson learnt...

Just an update on the transmitter battery. It showed 3.84v on each cell after the crash, I charged it, plugged it back in and tried to turn the transmitter on.
It would not turn on so I changed to the old battery and it works. I'm beginning to think there is a problem with the power output leads of the lipo rather than it running into voltage cutoff.
Any similar experiences or thoughts?
