Blade 200 SRX

Post by concept30 »

Hey got a Blade 200 SRX that needs some help, it flys for 35 seconds then it goes down, the stick on the DX6 is all the way up but heli still goes down, bought 3 brand new batterys, 35 seconds and the ESC gets warm, thinking it could be that, Thanks

Check for frayed motor wires, throttle wire going into esc, etc. May also be a bad control board. See if the antenna solder joint is still good.

Could be a bad motor as well.. My little 120sr Heli has seen several motors over the years. They are brushed motor and don't last long if flown a lot. I believe the 200 has a brushed motor too.. +1 to Paul's post, but if that checks out, grab a new motor.. Pretty cheap & easy to install on that bird.. Get it fly'n & let us know how u like it! Thought about grab'n one of those 200s... But I've got several micro helis & just don't need another.. But I wanna fly it! Lol

Yeah if it's brushed replace it. I tried to see from some photos of a 200SRX and it looked like a small brushless to me, but couldn't tell for sure.

...

Looks like main and tail motor are both brushless on a 200 SRX. So no brushes to go bad. But I'm reading about tail motor failures, which could be leading to ESC overheating and shutdown... if your tail motor is having a problem.
