So that's what a Crack Beaver is.
I was half expecting to see some little critter that was high and getting his crazy on. :)

Lol it has flown a bit like that Stambo!

I should have made a build thread for this.
I ordered some 3s 450 mah nanotechs, 3mm x 20 mm o rings for prop and some 8 x 4.3 props (instead of the 9 x 4.7 I had with the initial 2s battery's)

A fair amount of super glue was used tonight to reinforce and repair some parts so hopefully Tuesday myself and Graham can get some footage of it in 2s and 3s form.
Ill get video of how the CG balances out as well and perhaps Derek and others can chime in on how it looks.
I think it will fly more like I hoped with the 3s battery's.

With a 3S pack, that plane should be able to fly around at a pretty good pace and be more assertive. On 2S, it will probably have a slight bit of "punch" when you throttle hard and then it should be pretty "floaty" and predictable. Either way, it should be lots of fun

Good info thanks Derek. I think I may have overloaded it with glue but we will see next flight hopefully.
I have heard CA/superglue can be relatively heavy compared to other types of glue like epoxy and welders.

as for the glue....I dunno man...I would guess that the epoxy would weigh more than CA/Super Glue.....then I would guess that hot glue would again weigh more. Although most of the time, I am using hot glue on my scratch builds. It's just easy to use, inexpensive, and hardens FAST!

Ok....I was just looking through my bits and pieces that I have here at the house. I have a motor, esc, and some servos. Not real sure about the "life" that is left in these servos so I just placed an order for 4 new HXT 900 servos and two 2S 800mah packs. I'll head to the hobby store this weekend, sometime, and pick up some carbon fiber for some reinforcement and I'll see about starting the build of my scratch built Crack Turbo Beaver next week.

That s awesome buddy!!! When you get time, can you get a bit of video of all four sides, top, and bottom for me? A Bit of a walk around video? I'd just like to see what everything looks like before I start the build and I can use that video as I reference.

Hope this is of use Derek, and again if you need any more specific shots just let me know.
I just blanked on what to film every time I pressed record, lol

I followed Chris Jewetts build video to a T but next time I would put the aileron servos in before mounting the wing to the main body. The rudder and elevator push rod guides were a pain for me to fit and I find the push rods (thin carbon) break easily where they mount to the control surface clevis. A plastic, full length guide tube type thing and piano wire would be a good modification here I think. That's probably me being too rough on them or over tightening tho.
If there's one failure (touch wood) Ill never have is a screw or bolt coming loose. lol. Just ask Graham!

That video was exactly what I was hoping for. I was curious how the tail connects with the fuselage. Your video showed that. I was curious how the wing mounts on. You video showed that, too. I was curious about the material that was used for the wheels. It looks like those are just light weight foam, too. Awesome! Thanks for that! I'll see about getting the fuselage drawn up this weekend.

Hey Cameron...what are the lengths and widths of the ailerons, rudder, and elevator halves? How long do the landing gear go from the fuselage to the tip of the gear by the wheel?
