I got the quad flying tonight. I like it so far. Uploading photos tomorrow.

Interesting. Looking forward to your reports after a few more flights.

I know someone locally that is working on a prototype quad involving sandwiched layers of material instead of all CF, Al, or other materials. Extremely rigid, crazy light weight, and also very good at vibration absorption. Should be cheap too.

Sounds cool Paul.
Fly's OK Tony, feels heavy initially, but only test hovered so far.
I need to make up a mount for the FPV camera.
After some flights I will change the motors maybe the ESC'S and tidy some cables when I get more solder.

The main test will be crash resistance, hopefully its strong.

PM me your address Cam and I'll ship you some solder up, I've got loads of it. It's 4 core solder 0.7mm. I use it on all my electronic design work...

Looks like it flies really well so far.
I am not a big fan of how far the cam sticks out past the frame though, first thing to hit in a fight with a tree.
Trust me, the tree always wins. :)

Thanks guys.
I ordered a mobius and will mount it somehow on the wee plate behind the board cam, probably need to make a mount to raise it a bit.
I know what you mean about the camera exposed like that, I have an idea to make a protector for it.
