Is this correct...?
yeah that's right but it has to be done in rate mode.

Which mode are you trying to tune?

I'm a bit confused with all this talk of the different modes.

I'm confused too mate.....Yeah I'm flying in rate mode... Only flick to horizon when I'm loosing it...lol

The flight modes I like to have setup is horizon, I use the flight switch for this. When not in horizon it goes to acro as far as I know... What I do know is flying in HM gives me auto level, and when that off I don't have auto level..

I'm presuming rate mode and acro are the same, is this right...?

I never zero them, I just start tuning from the defaults.
But yes if you start bumping up P until it starts to wobble and back it off a little you should get close.
Then do the same with I, wobble will be slower.
Then D until it starts to feel sluggish and less responsive, then back it down a bit.
P is the main part of the control.
I is involved in the holding.
D is like a damper that smooths things out a bit more.
It doesn't take much to get flying well, unfortunately it takes a lot more to get smooth video. :)

You can also increase the pitch and roll rates if the D is making it slugish and you still have bounce on pitch and roll.

I found multiwii 1 to be better than 0
looks like you need to reduce the roll gains.
My settings are Roll, P 2.0 I 25
Pitch are the same as yours
Yaw is P 4.0 I .020 D 0
See if they get you closer.

I'm not going to be any help at all, Tony, when it comes to "sorting out PID's". I'm still learning how to make the changes, myself. I did see this video on Youtube and I left you a comment there. I thought the flight was really good but most importantly, I was just really happy to see that you posted another flight video.

Lee, those setting are much better, ive only tried it in the garden at mo as going all the wy up the field isnt practical unless a take my lappy with me... but then i cant get a mobile signal to get on here...

im posting to YT but its taking forever as we are having issues with fibre internet... upload speed only 400Kbits or something, bloody rediculous, BT been on the case for months now... useless it is.

When you change pid controller you have to save it before it will let you alter any settings.
The thing with the pids is what works well in one set of conditions doesn't work so well in another set of conditions. Porket flys mint in 0-8 mph but 8+ get some small shakes, it still feels locked in but the shakes show in the video footage.

The settings I gave you work well in acro mode.
Angle mode they are a little high in wind.
