Goblin 500 HPS3 upgrade

Post by pvolcko »

Wow. $300 for the upgrade kit to go to 3-blade head on the Gob 500. That includes blades, but still.

Maybe I won't be trying out this 3-bladed stuff. At least not before selling off some things. Have collected way too much stuff over the past couple years.

WOW!!! That is pricey!

One of my Youtube buddy's upgraded his G700 Carbon Edition to the 3 blade head and 3 blade tail. Can't imagine the price tag on that sweet deal, lol

What are the benefits of going from 2-3 blades, won't this put more strain on the motor and therefore reduce flight times....

Typically you run lower headspeed so flight times only drop marginally. Benefit is much crisper cyclic response, from what I've read. Harder stops and response on the tail. Collective is the gray area. Some claim better climb outs, others say collective response feels a little softer. Maybe both can be true. A lot of subjectivity in this stuff.

Bummer, Giles. Feel free to start up a new thread about it. You get it fixed up yet?
