Thanks Graham, yeah I know this place fairly well I'm flying in now... There's a dirt path to the left I don't go beyond and a big tree to the right. A hill in front of me about 20 feet away, so I have a small area. About 100' x 20'. Don't go behind me as there's a roaring river....lol..

Put some lights on front and back Graham, different colours, I found that a great help for orientation flying LOS, it's so much easier. And keep it moving forward helps too.. I'm hoping to get some video footage today....

Thanks Lee, charpu..HMMMMM, could be years ahead, if ever....lol. I'm happy pottering around the field...

Couldn't get out today, it was snowing at 7:30am, and then the winds started, 30-40mph, so no fpv, although I had great fun LOS flying against the wind and then turning with it and watching that baby go...  :D it was almost vertical tail down at one point stopping it... Awesome

The river is about 100 yards behind me and it has a line of trees along the bank. I should be safe enough...lol

Yeah one day I'm going down to Dan's to have some fun flying.... :D

Sounds like loads of fun in a quarry, I used to go off-roading in my old jeep in a quarry, was great

Done some fpv flying today..... Yippee. Just sorting vids out now. 2 occasions it decided to stop the motors and crash land... 2nd time one of the props came off, one of the Velcro battery straps have gone awol, 2 landing feet came off. Hopefully I still have some footage to show as when it crashed the camera came off too, first time it took me 45 mins to find it... Exciting morning though, I can fly fpv.... That's a huge achievement for me.. Vids to follow

Tony...that's fantastic!!! Perhaps all you needed was a bit of a break. Just take your time...progress as you feel comfortable. Even if the only FPV that you do with your quad is just a lazy cruise around the field, that's still FPVing and a success. I look forward to seeing your videos.

I just got the email notification that you had uploaded a video to Youtube so I clicked on it real quick to see the video.

Tony....that was really really quite good! Very very cool man! Great job! I didn't see any panic moments and the view was quite good. I'm even not ashamed to say that your landing was better than most of mine, lol. Two thumbs up buddy! Well done!!!
