Tony

Post by Tony »

well i started far too late in life. just last summer i got my first heli, a volitation 9053, what a nightmare that thing was. put all the mods on i discovered on YT vids, was still hopeless... still got it..

bought a Blade 450 3D in Jan this year off ebay, nice heli, had loads of fun and crashes with it, learnt loads about rebuilding, flying from YT mainly. then i joined RCH. converted the blade to FBL, most of you will know the rest of this story...lol, she still lies beneath the waves..

Treff off RCH gave me a heli out the blue even paid for postage... most greatful Treff (if you ever read this).... bought all new parts for it as you all know, the maiden wasnt that good, problem with gear alignment, sorted that out. to this day it hasnt had a proper maiden flight, mainly because ive been so engrossed in these dam night lights on the blades... well ive sorted a new design for those and im now just waiting for the weather to brighten up just a bit.

i wish i started RC years ago though, my brain just doesnt want to learn new tricks...lol

im very glad to be part of this group of RC pals, even if i never fly with confidence ill always be around RC-Hangouts.. theres always the ground vehicles..i might buy a hovercraft actually seen a site today..

thats my RC life, very short

Oh yes, I forgot my blade nano cpx... That was brilliant, replaced everything on that several times...

Ditto, at least you found the hobby and actually put some effort into it. Most quit shortly after the first few crashes but you kept going and thats all that matters.

Thanks guys, yeah it's stuck like CA glue now.. Lol, which I never used to use before this hobby... Haha, I need to practice, practice... I won't give in. Probably never get to do any 3D stuff, but I enjoy the flight time more than anything
