Dan and Phils FPV racing log

Post by danhampson »

Today myself, Madphil and his friend went flying today to a location that is going to be holding a FPV racing event later in the year, myself and Phil are planning on entering the event and wanted to have a look/fly around heres the footage from my mobius, phil is going to upload some photos that he's taken. some if the footage is a bit/lot blurred due to it raining lol, it also made it pretty interesting through the fpv camera.

the Hush money is being saved for now, im saving it to get some http://www.RC-Hangout.com hoodies/t-shirts printed to wear at the event to try to promote the site.

There was a bit of signal loss around the back of the trees but not too bad if i was stood up, if i was sat down then it was a different story total vtx signal loss on the furthest corner (with fatshark spironets) it was a bit better with a TBS 5dbi patch which i think is the way forward. I just have to work on not putting my head down as much with the patch antenna being so directional.

We will have to organise it mate. It's about a half hour drive from mine so it's not too bad really

I've got some footage from yesterday, I've just got to edit it. That's on the list for tonight

Hey Dan you bend your head like me, that means you got the blind spot on the antenna pointing out towards where your flying, I bend my antenna further so it's more horizontal when my head is bowed,

Love the shots from up there though, wish it was close to me.....

Yeah it's pretty weird seeing yourself Phil, I've seen myself during a nose in flight and looks really mad with your head facing one way, or down on the deck.. Funny as.. :D
As for the meet, we were going to go to scotland to see Graham and Cameron for a few days, not sure what's happening there now... Guys, guys, guys !!
