Found another new spot to fly.
Amazing what you can find in your area with Google Earth.
This is private land in the middle of an industrial area that I have gained permission to fly over.
Because of where it is, we will have very little interruption from people wandering through or wanting to see what we are doing.
It was windy, overcast and threatening rain but we wanted to check it out so we did some slow, exploratory flights.
Can't wait for the return of spring/summer and some leaves on those trees.
I think it will become a fast favorite.

Probably pay to turn your volume down, it's quite loud.

That's cool, Stambo! That place looks "almost" like an old tree farm. There is a lot of symmetry with the way the trees are all laid out.

My thoughts exactly.
There is 3 of us that get together and fly every now and then, what we need is a good weekend weather wise that all of us are free.
I know of 2 more that are being built at present so we might get a little racing group going.

Two of us are keen for a trip to Tokoroa where Xjet (Bruce from RC Model Reviews) lives so we can have a bit of fun with Team Nana.

3 of us got together at what has become our favorite spot for flying our FPV MiniQuads around.
We set up a track and generally just had some fun.
With our last batteries for the day we decided to fly the track together to try and get some chase footage.
We agreed that it was not a race, it was just to try and get some footage of the other quads.
Yeah right.

I could not help it, I just had to be at the front.
What is it about having to be so competitive.
I have no idea where my son gets it from.

cool! Wish this was more popular around here. I guess it is starting to pick up a bit. I think the fun fly at the RAMS club coming up at the end of august is going to have some quad racing going on. Will be the first I get to see it live.

Thanks guys, I have a lot more footage that I might edit the best parts out of but that was the most enjoyable bit.
I need to get hold of the other guys footage so I can maybe make something out of it.
There was a static Gopro in a couple of places on the track that I have not yet seen the footage from.
There was also the inevitable crashes, both mine and the other guys but damage for the day was mainly just a few props.
One of the guys broke a wire from cam to VTX but that's an easy fix.
