Neat new addtion

Post by DOG »

Well I had to do it. My fly buddy stop by this afternoon and presented to me a bird that was going on E-Bay if I didn't want it. I couldn't pass up the deal and you can say that the bird found a new home :D
P9190018.JPG
It has a Turnigy Typhoon 500 6s motor, Turnigy TGY 930 cyclic & Align DS 525M tail servos. Yep 80a ESC, Turnigy 2.6 2650 mah battery x 4, many spare parts" Blades, main gear, main shaft & spindle, Traveling bag, ect..." and I'm putting my AR 7300BX unit on it. This will be a little bit different to fly compare to my gaui X3.

Well, I believe that's true with any of them... 300 class & up.. Ull like it.. I have found that with every increase in size/class heli that it seems easier to fly... Maybe I'm putting that wrong.. More stability is the word look'n for I guess... Ull dig it tho!

Congrats! I love the 500 size - good weight/power ratio and reasonably priced spare parts. You'll love it, I'm sure.

That's really great buddy! You'll love the 500 size. The sound of the larger blades is exciting. I love my 500.

Compared to my 500, yes, the 600 is a monster but the 500 is fun to fly, too, because Im not as limited where I can fly it.

Well I was going to try my first flight on the 500 the other day but no luck. I installed the AR7300BX and got the mechanical set up done. I went to spool up and notice that one of the servos decided to go bad on me. :o I'm glad that this happen on the ground instead of in the air. Well I'm ordering KST 515MG servos to replace the turnigy servos and also order the DFC flybarless Head for the 500. It will be a couple of weeks before the 500 see any air time. I can't wait. Til then I will enjoy flying my X3 and 450 for the time being.
