Re: AccuRC sim
Flight modeling the smaller ones is more difficult. Probably discovering problems with their physics engine as they go along.
And no, no multi-player yet.

Yes your right Paul, he also said he has a team working on fixed wing too now

Re: AccuRC sim
Just been chatting to Ashley about this sim, they are working on fixed wing at moment, then quads, multiplayer is in the pipeline after these are done... Sounds like it's going to be a pretty good sim to me..

Night flying and lighted models appear to be the big add with this update. Pretty cool and something I don't think I've seen in other sims. And a type of flying that could potentially greatly benefit from some sim time.

Realflight 7 has night flying and lighted models. Not all models are lighter though.

Re: AccuRC sim
The most recent major pay for upgrade is 7.5. All they did was make it more multirotor friendly. I am sure there was other minor things added but the major part of it is multi rotor. 7 was the major release at the beginning of the year. It has had a few online updates, three I think.

Re: AccuRC sim
Update on my AccuRC sim, yes I got it for my birthday at Christmas, didn't do much with it being at Lee's having fun. But I tried it the other day and found it very jerky, only had the bigger helis, no quads, or planks at the moment. It's basically way over the top for me. Anyway after talking to Ashley and explaining my issues with it they have decided to refund me in return of the cd etc... If you guys recall my daughter bought me this and I felt a bit guilty as it was over £90. So I sent it back today and hopefully I'll get the refund soon. I have to say Ashley and the sales girl was extremely helpful and understanding. It's probably great for you guys will bigger helis that want to mess around with alternative components, but not for me... Lol
So I am going to buy another 450 kit and use my electronics off the smashed up heli I crashed at Lee's..

Re: AccuRC sim
It requires a pretty high end system to run smoothly and, as you discovered, it has a limited number of models on it. Only helis at this time.
It's good if you want the best in flight simulation realism available, but as a consumer application and mainstream RC sim is leaves a lot of be desired.

Re: AccuRC sim
I've got a toshiba satellite with an intel i5 3rd gen, and 8gig of ram, thought that would have been pretty speedy, but it wasn't. Anyway I'll just stick to my phoenix for practicing.

Re: AccuRC sim
I've used the AccuRC quite a lot now, and I'm enjoying it more and more. The realism and feel of this sim is second to none - the Agile actually feels just like it does IRL. I've always thought that the gravity in Phoenix feels very fake, none of that on the AccuRC! The physics in general feels very real in this sim.
But I agree that it may not be for everyone though. It's not very easy to set up and it's a power junky for sure My laptop has a i7 cpu, 12 gb ram and a geforce 840M, and that seems to be just enough for it to run properly on high graphics settings (btw the fan on my laptop is working overtime while the sim is on LOL ).
For those who want the extra realism, has time and patience to make it work, and have capable hardware - I say go for it. But if this means little or nothing to you, I say just stick with the Phoenix/RealFlight (which ARE great sims).

Re: AccuRC sim
Yep, AccuRc is for the big boys. My lappy being almost 5 years old (i7, 6 gigs ram, Nvidia GTX 285M) is starting to feel the pinch with realflight 7.5. Things are starting to get toasty under the chassy and thats with the turbo fan turned on, yes I have a turbo fan for extra cooling on the CPU overclock option I have.

Re: AccuRC sim
I've bought laptops in the past that people said we're broken they turned on and ran for 10-15 mins and would shut down. Most of them I removed the bottom case and vacuumed the cooling fins and reassembled the case, job done. I've made some easy money like that.
Just an idea if your lappy is getting warm/hot

Re: AccuRC sim
Oh yeah I already had plans on doing that tonight. Ts been about 6 months since the last time I cleaned out the cooling. I am thinking airflow is being restricted. Temps last night reached 189° F about 90° C.
