And here are the last two videos with a gopro on board for a while (Was pretty windy to be honest. Not a great time for flying but I had to discharge the packs as they were sitting fully charged for a while). Switching back to having the gopro on my head so I can have the canopy on the heli again. Also while I was at it I decided the pull the main gear pulley out and lubricated the one way bearings.

Finally got around to setting up the governor on all my helis.
Also managed to strip the assault's main gear in flight 89. Was kinda expecting that to happen at some point haha. Luckily got it down nicely with no damage. Already replaced it with a spare gear I had lying around although might consider upgrading to the align slanted gears at some point in the future. Also will end up upgrading the swash plate as well as I manage to destroy the threads of one of the ball links in the swash from flying. Luckily I saw it started backing out when I did a maintenance run on it otherwise that could have ended in disaster. I have a spare assault swash which I will use in the mean time. Used some green loctite on them to try and strengthen it up a little. Will just have to do for now.

Good flights! Yeah if u wanna try out the Align gear in that.. Get the black slant gear... U won't ever strip that one in flight.. It's hefty. Didn't know u could use it in the Asssault... Is it basically an Align clone?

Cheers! I will be. Ordered the slanted black main gear with its corrected slanted pinion yesterday. Should arrive within the next 2 days. In regards to it being a clone. It isn't one hundred percent a clone as the chassis layout is a bit different on the two. Although I would def say it is inspired by align helis but yeah most align parts are compatible with the assault so you have a wide range of spare parts available for it which is quite nice.

Very nice, as always.

One of the things I tried to start doing this year was force myself to fly maneuvers in opposite directions. Instead of nose left piro flips, try a series of nose-right piro flips, for instance. Force myself to fly bad orientations (for me) such as circles and circuits where I deliberately flew through the 9-12 o'clock (or 12-9 o'clock for counter clockwise) orientation trying to iron out my nose in and nose away turns through that quadrant. Flips and rolls and rainbows in uncomfortable orientations (side on, skids in, etc.).
