Clueless, Need sugestions

Hello, my 500 developed a new problem. Look at the servos when i go from normal mode to stunt1 or stunt2. I have the DX6 TX, KST DS515MG servos, Yep 80a ESC and AR7300BX. Everything is fairly new. Maybe 3 month old on the electronics. Any help is appreciated. https://youtu.be/DYmbZ51wQYk

The lean could just be cause it's on the bench... The drop.. Do u have a different pitch curve from N to Idle 1? When ur in the air, does it bank to the side going from Idle 1 to Idle 2 like on the bench.. I think u need a new radio. Can I suggest a DX9?

Please don't say that. My radio is close to brand new. The radio doesn't due it to my 450 or Gaui.

I just got the AR7300BX right after I got the 500 which was in late Oct. or early Nov.

Reset model in radio - do the FBL-setup again.
To me it looks like radio-mix is enabled.

Thanks for that information Marius. I will do that after changing the main and auto rotation gear and main shaft and it doesn't work. I appreciate your advice!

I agree with Marius...start over with a fresh new heli profile in your dx6 and then completely redo the AR setup. That's odd!

No luck on changing parts . Resetting the TX/AR like Marius said is next. If that doesn't work then I guess a new AR is in order. This is strange . I'm running out of Ideas. Thanks everyone for your help. I'll keep trying out stuff.

The jump at 14s definitely looks like a pitch curve issue between the modes. Make sure neutral stick position is 0 on all three pitch curves (4 if you include hold mode).

To me, the tilt looks like a vibration induced tilt. This can happen when bench testing, especially at high throttle since there is very little load on the rotor assembly and drive train. If you leave it in stunt 1 (when the collective jump occurs?) does the tilt occur, or does that only happen when you bump into stunt 2?

I'd take care of the collective jump and not worry about the tilting effect. Throw some blades on and do a test hover in normal mode, then get some air and switch into stunt 1 and hover there. If that goes well, flip to stunt 2 and be ready to go back to stunt1 or normal if the tilt starts to occur. If it is happening even with blades on and in the air, then you probably have a vibration on a fast rotating part. Maybe a loose pinion or bad motor bearing? Something funky in the tail (TT bearings, new umbrella gears needing to break in, etc.)?

I doubt the AR is bad. Doubt anything is bad. Mix of setup problems for the collective jump and high freq vibration for the tilt at high speed.

Thanks Paul. I was hoping that it could be something else beside the AR. I did Reset the TX and the AR like Maruis said but I haven't try it out yet. Sometime today I will. Yes the heli is fine in normal mode and it does tilt a little in stunt 1 but in stunt 2, good lord she tilts bad. I was ready when I switch to stunt 2. I do have a brand new tail unit "Belt version" but I haven't installed it yet. As for the motor bearings, I didn't checked that out. If the bearings are bad, I'll just get another motor. I'll try anything to get her back in the air.

I definitely agree with Paul. I also doubt the AR is bad, along with servo's and esc and all that. When you bench test it...can you secure the helicopter more solidly?

Double check that your pitch curves (normal mode, stunt 1, stunt 2, and HOLD) are all the same....probably all linear while testing. I wouldn't worry too much about your tail setup nor the bearings.

I agree with you and other about it's not the electronics. I will fine where that vibration is coming from. I'll keep on trying til I fine that problem out. Today I will give it a try with the TX/AR reset. Hope that will do it. Strange I'll tell you.

I agree with you. I just haven't found it yet. I'm not giving up. I will get her in the air. There's something I overlook but I just can't finger it out yet.

I have found the BX can handle vibrations quite good? I think it is a set up/ TX setting issue:) The 7200BX on my 450 always worked even when the vibration was horrendous, it would always fly? What have you got it sitting on? original double sided foam supplied with it?

Hey Graham Lawrie. Absolutely the BX handles the vibration very well. No I'm not using the double sided tape that came with it. I didn't have any at the time being but the the foam that I'm using is the same foam padding that I have on my other two helis and they work fine with that padding. I did reset my TX and the AR. I haven't had the chance to try it out due to the weather down here in Florida. Lots of winds for the next couple of days. I did find that my tail bearings seem like it has a little to much play in it. I went ahead and replace the tail assembly with a new one. When the weather calms down, I'll try it out. Next time I'm in Walmart, I'll pick up some 3M double sided tape. Like I mention, the other helis fly fine with the foam padding I have on it. I'll just keep trying the process of elimination til I find the problem.
