New for me

Post by DOG »

I'm thinking about purchasing a FPV unit and a quad copter  . This will be my first real FPV quad copter experience. Derek has been very helpful and patience working with me in finding something to get me started :D . I was thinking about purchasing this quad http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... ouse_.html and this FPV unit http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index. ... ts_id=5074. to install on that quad. I'm not going to be racing or trying to chase some airliner down. I just want something different to fly. I would appreciate RCHangOut members opinion. Thanks in advance. :)

From my experience, for your first FPV quad you want something that can handle a crash, because you will crash. :)
I would want to know more about this quad as far as the flight controller type and whether it can be adjusted?
Does it have room for FPV gear?
How robust is it in a crash and are parts readily available?

I would suggest more along the lines of a self build mini 250 quad kit as we all know how robust these things are.
Probably work out cheaper too. :)
And much more fun. :D

The FPV gear looks like a pretty good entry level system.
The addition of the fan face plate is an excellent idea.
I have just got some Dom V3s with this feature and I love it.
