Uri, plexi is hard to work with.. For small holes.. Use clamps tho hold the plexi down atop wood while u work... This helps a lot.. When drilling.. Use the smalles bit to start and gradually work ur way up to the size u want. A step bit is preferred.. But there are expensive. For large holes.. Use a hole bit.. Works great! Sore square cuts.. dremel with a cut wheel. Little bit at a time as it melts quickly. For a long straight cut.. Score each side & just snap it. It's a PITA for sure... I really wish there was an option within a decent/acceptable price range. Good luck.. Looking forward to seeing ur finished case.

I was cutting the fan whole and thought I had cut through. Well the plastic melted and reformed over where I cut. Whent to knock out the unwanted material and bam cracked. Mine wont be done till after i get home. My PSU is on back order till the 30th. Really cant do anything until I get the PSU in place where I want it.

I used a jigsaw on mine with a high tooth count(very fine) and just cut a little at a time, pulling the trigger starting and stopping every cut. That worked for me:)

Iv used that too... I think the biggest lessons I learned with plexi is to go slow & be patient... Not to force anything... And clamping it to wood to keep it flat & unable to flex while working.... And when bolting... Only snug it.. Use thread lock to keep it from backing out instead of tension.

Slow is the way. Now one issue I have is how do you get a decent template of the case. I don't know how to get that almost perfect shape transferred to my plexi.

I was thinking that but then over complicated it in my head. I have tendencies to over complicate things.

I just kept the protective film on both sides until the cutting was complete.. That also allow d me to mark my measurements & placements with a marker prior to cutting.

Thats how I did the initial cuts on mine. After awhile though the plastic got beat up so I took it off. By then all the major stuff was done. All I have left now is placing the balance boards and the bump controller. I wont know that till I get the psu installed and have the pl6 in place. All I have left is whole drilling.

Got her mounted and powered.. Need to run the charge leads to the deck.. She is a tad bigger than the 306.. Didn't think about that.. But it fits fine. Have to grab some more 10awg for the last of the leads.. But should have her done by the weekend! Awesome. Thanks again Paul!

U know what guys... Something just popped in my head... When setting up the chargers parameters.. Let's say on a single 5000mah pack.. And u want the cap the amount it puts back in on a charge.. Say 4800mah.. If it reaches that 4800.. It will stop the charge. So.. ?.. If u are parallel charging 2 5000mah packs.. Would u double the 4800mah figure? It's not seeing 2 packs.. It is charging at a higher amperage.. So does mean it's counting the shared mah being put back in or what?

Any yeah Graham.. I kinda see it like this... 4pks per bird.. I can use one, one on standby.. While 2 r charging. Haven't been able to do it like that with the 12S stick packs cause I've only had one charger.. Now I can. So the tally is 7 2s 3600(make that 6.. One went to heaven in my crash the other day), 4 3s 2250, 4 6s 1250, 4 6s 5000, 4 12s 5000, & 1 12s 4500... Plus hand full of packs for the micros that collect dust. Got a few... I hate waiting on packs to charge.. This will help immensely!

Yeah, with the iChargers you have there they are not aware in any way of parallel charging (if I remember right), so you'd have to double the limit. The PowerLab chargers are different, there is a charge cycle parameter to tell it how many packs you're charging so it will do the math internally and it only shows you the equivalent single pack capacity figures.
