Flying FPV Around A House...how is it done?

Recently, I saw a video of a quad being flown around a yard with many trees. Yeah..no big deal there. I imagine the video will break up slightly, using 5.8ghz. I've had that happen many times, myself. However, the guy was sitting in his yard and flew the quad completely around his house. Now, I've not tried anything like this because I don't want to push the limits of recognizable video...but I'd like to ask....how did this guy do this and not lose video? I don't recall if it was a brick-walled house or just wood and siding but it was a two story house and he flew completely around the house.

any thoughts?

I've often wondered the same thing Derek, when I see the big name guys flying through buildings with there fatshark googles on.
I only have to go behind a small bush, and I lose video???

Im gonna set up my gear in my front yard. Ill have the wife watch the fatsharks while I walk my ZMR around the house and see how far I get. I have my doubts lol

I have flown around my place, it is timber framed with fibrecement cladding.
I got quite bad video breakups and was very uncomfortable doing it so I have not done it again.

lol....he's definitely been practicing! I'm sub'd to him on YouTube, so I get all his new videos and he has some really impressive stuff.

That's what I'm thinking, too. Perhaps using the Taranis with a 433mhz module and a 1.3ghz or 2.4ghz video system.
