Battery Power To My Fatsharks

Post by Derek »

I have the old Dominator V1 goggles. I've not upgraded them because there's nothing wrong with them. They continue to work, so I continue to use them. For the past few years, I've just run an A/V cable from the vrx on my ground station to my goggles. Now, I'm interested in putting a battery in the headstrap and using the supplied pigtail, so that I can use an internal vrx.

It's my understanding that our goggles can run on 2S or 3S lipo as the source. I have some 2S 800mah batteries that I have no use for anymore (crashed plane). How much usage can I expect from a 2S 800 mah lipo on my Fatsharks?

The original Fatshark battery on my V3s is 1000mah. I have never run it flat unless I forgot to charge it.
Your 800mah batteries should give you at least a couple of hours.

Very cool, Stambo! Thanks! I cant imagine that these goggles use LOTS of power to run. I got it soldered up last night....tested it and my internal vrx....everything is working.
