Yeah I hate it when I do a repair and miss something only to catch it at the field when I'm all hyped up & ready.. But hey.. U got her down without causing more damage... That's good!

Crazy windy day. Was cool making the plane stand still in the air. Landed it like it was a helicopter.

Finally settled in with the new job. Doing 100% programming of large chilled water systems so far. Love it. Anyway this is my first flight after at least a month. Did do a few evenings on the sim with this plane. Was a conservative flight for me.

Thanks, guys. Yeah the next two weeks they are wanting me to do some overtime. I won't ever turn that down.

Yes Dan the Yak is a bad ass plane. Just has a nice feel and the control surfaces are awesome. I really like the VisionAire but this guy is about the same size just a little bigger but with a 4s battery it just has lots of power. Will work on the simulator this winter, been trying to get the slow harrier roll, but too afraid to try it outside. Gotta get the muscle memory automatic before I give that a try. Still afraid of the knife edge cause if you go the wrong way at first there is little time to recover and my brain doesn't remember to just level off and pull out of it normally, I always panic.

All you have to remember for knife edge is which every way you push aileron rudder is opposite. Well it worked for me anyway. But I did destroy my edge doing rolling harriers lol.

I'll stick with the simulator rolls for now. I learned the torque hang on the sim over the winter 2 years ago so I'll work on the rolls.

You balance the plane on the prop (nose up) and let the torque from the motor rotate the aircraft.

Really had to knock the dust of this log!

Parked my Q500 over my right shoulder about 125 feet, set the controller down and took off in my VisionAire flying under the camera.
