Tititum quad?

Post by DOG »

Hello there. I was looking for a back up quad and I ran into a tititum quad that caught my eyes. The reviews seem OK but I would like to ask if anyone has one or knows someone who does and their opinion on it. Thanks in advance :) http://graysonhobby.com/diatone-gt200s- ... -2017.html

If you are going to spend that kind of money get a Fossil like Dereks:)

Hey Graham Lawrie. Thanks for your response. How about this one http://www.buddyrc.com/spedix-black-kni ... -quad.html I was looking at that one and maybe another Shuriken 180pro for the price. http://www.getfpv.com/ready-to-fly-quad ... -dsmx.html It's a lot heavier and waaaay slower then his brother the 180 which is discontinued. Derek fossil is nice but you need a wide open area to fly that puppy and that's rare for me. Decisions, decisions I'll just keep on looking :).

Hey DOG You really don't need any more "open space" to fly my Fossil's Gravity 250 than you'd need for any other mini quad. Here a pic of mine

As for your search....you said that you are looking for another backup quad. Let's talk about a few things here. You aren't a racer. You aren't a competitor in freestyle competitions. You are a guy that just wants to go out and have some fun, flying at your own pace....and that's great! because of that, just about any mini quad frame is likely to do well for you. If you like the looks and specs of that titanium quad....go for it! If you like the looks and specs of that Spedix quad....go for it. If you'd like to challenge yourself on a build, get a Fossil's frame. Although my Fossil's frame was tough and challenging, I greatly enjoyed the build and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I was thinking about from more how robust the Fossil is as they are virtually indestructible frame:)

That's a real good point, Graham! I really enjoyed that video when you, or Kev, first posted it. Pretty serious testing.

After seeing your video Graham Lawrie and talking to Derek, I contacted fossil stuff. I seen a rtf that I like but I wanted to know if they can do a bnf instead. They mention," Just give us a call and we can build you a frame to your specification." Also they mention," Every Ready to Fly FSGX 210 is hand built to order." So i figure it couldn't hurt to ask. I'll post up the result when I here from them.
