Re: AccuRC sim
V1.5 is out on the update servers I think. This includes new fixed wing planes! I've got mine downloading right now. Will be cool to see how well their tech models fixed wing flight.

Re: AccuRC sim
I grabbed the update a couple days ago and tried it out.
They say they improved the performance requirements, but my i3 is still stuggling with this sim, even with detail turned to lowest and all the physics stuff on low/direct. If I had a nvidia graphics card in the system it might help, but it is motherboard intel graphics and I think that may be bottlenecking things.
On my i7 laptop is has always been fine and no different now.
Ran into some issues using the built in updater so I ended up having to download the patch from the website and installing it from that.
I haven't flown the planes on the laptop setup yet so I don't want to give impressions on the simulation of fixed wing until I've tested it on a decent system that can keep up with the sim. I will say the configuration options on the planes are just as robust as the helis, which is great. I'll also say they have done zero to improve the model library/hangar interface or overall aesthetics of the UI in workshop mode. It seems there are a bunch of engineers running the effort over there, and we're famous for putting out utilitarian stuff. In my opinion Accurc is very much in that mold. High on technical features and capabilities. Almost hyper focused on that aspect of things. While general usability and interface suffer.

Re: AccuRC sim
I definately think you need a very fast gaming PC/laptop for this sim which is why I sent mine back, I've got an i5 toshiba laptop and it was very sluggish.. At the time they didn't have fixed wing, just a few of the larger helis... Not even a 450 size.... It's got huge potential though I recon, when they iron out the few issues... Not for the average joe blogs though like me...

Re: AccuRC sim
Things have changed a lot since then. You dont need a gaming laptop just something with a graphics card that doesnt completly suck
