Clutch loaded torque tube / tail gear assembly

Post by Gaba »

I hope it is ok to post here .. but this is SO innovative.. if I can actually find out how its working.. JAW DROPPER!!

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2299722

make sure to watch both of this guy's videos. He is making the tail gears UNBREAKABLE by adding a spring loaded clutch system in the torque tube.!!!! NOW THAT is the kind of stuff , why I love RC!!

I am on the wait list just out of curiosity!

That's an incredible invention of his, very daring to prove a point with grabbing the tail, but I guess he had to really. I wonder if he will do these clutches for the full range of heli sizes... Nice one Gaba..

Impressive. IF I had a 180 I'd be on the list. :)

I love how people are trying to get him to divulge his info. Hello let me show you my design before I publish so you can copy it. Classic hk way.

This does look promising for torque tubes. If this actually works and this guy gets a sponsor for it this could be a game changer for torque tubes.

Yeah. Wondering if his design scales well to larger birds. Could have a good thing on his hands.
