Foxtech mini 200mW VTX

Post by Lee »

Just picked up one of these for my mini quad.
At $19.99 I couldn't resist.
Its a 32ch TX so will work with all RX modules. I have it set up on my Dominator goggles using the internal ImmersionRC module.
Just waiting now for my FPV camera so I can finally get this thing FPVing :)
Did some comparisons to my Standard 200mW Foxtech VTX.
Less than a third of the weight!!!
Comes with cables to plug n play with a gopro/mobius.

Make sure you check the wiring, the pinouts on these are different to the Fatshark ones.
Also power it up separately from your main system or use some sort of power filter.
They "pop" really easy.
My flying buddy fried 2 of them and we figure it was a surge when connecting the battery from being permanently wired to the quad.
He now powers up the quad first and then the FPV gear.

Just had a first test flight. All worked fine.
Signal was badly affected by obstacles, but in the open it was fine. More so than my other system, but that may be down to the crappy antennas I have on it.
