Ok.. These are dry enough to put on the boom. So what I did was, after using the epoxy for the push rod end.. I put duct tape on each end holding the ends down tight on the rod and wedging the rod between the base board of the wall & a heavy box to keep pressure on the ends. This is neccessary due to the air trapped in the hollow pushrod.. Had I not the ends would not have remained seeded all the way in. I was rather pleased at how strong the green loctite 260 was/is... First time using it.. It's very thin and I didn't believe it was gonna do as well as the CA I had been using. Fastenal has a depot setup in our plant... I've become pals with the manager of this onsite store & get all my Loctite for free.. Along with other stuff.. Loctite is expensive! He hooked me up with the blue 243 as well.. Being this a nitro I thought the oil resistant properties would be better than the 242.. He gave me BIG bottle of that months ago. Anyhow.. On Synergy models u have an option to pin the tail box on or just clamp it with the box.. If u pin it u have to drill the hole urself.. I like the idea of pin'n the tail.. So I did. Now this is as far as I can go until I actually mount the boom... All's that is left to do is move the guide & support rod clamp in place and shrink the silicone sleeves in the right spot(where the guides go).. Moving on!

Oh yeah.. After drilling I took a boom support rod to push an alcohol soaked paper towel they the boom to clean I after making sure there were no burrs from my drilling.. Once dry I shoot some windex down the boom.. Helps slide ur TT bearings in smoothly.

The Align 550 I have has a 600 boom on it... It's how they come now.. Which was good cause I wanted one in red.. Only had red for the 600.. Anyhow.. I'll have to measure the difference.. But this Synergy boom is longer than Align's 600 boom.

Ok.. Had to run & get a 4.5mm hex wrench.. 2 of them.. All good tho cause I was gett'n hungry.. Copt a burger while I was out. Checkers.. Horrible food that taste AWESOME! Kk.. Back to business.. Got the swash & head tore down, cleaned, lubed, glued, and back together. Love this head.. Shiny! Ya kno, I do love my Align 550.. And the machine work and fit of it is excellent.. Fantastic! But.. This head seems to be just a tad better.. Hard to explain.. Guess u have to feel it in ur hands & twirl everything round a bit... I don't kno.. I'm love'n it.. Curious on how this head flys vs DFC.. DFC is all iv ever flown flybarless. Well.. Here r some shoots.

Forgot to answer u on the "2" TT bearings... I use 2 on all my helis.. Even the 450... I read about it a long time ago before I did my first build.. Figured it was a good idea.. So just put 2 on them.. If the kit calls for 1.. I order a second & use it.

Main & auto gears done w the one way... They pressed the oneway in wrong as per the picture in the manual... But is symmetrical by design so it can be fliped either way.. Good thing too cause I didn't want to get that out. Lol.. Especially since I green loctited a bushing on both sides.. Would have been ordering a new hub...

Why did you take the back plate off the motor?

To tight'n down the nut on the shaft.. If u don't wedge something in to hold the arm from turning.. U won't get the nut down tight.. U end up just turning the motor..Ideally u should use the tool that O.S. sells to do this with.. But u can use anything soft or rubbery to hold it while u tight'n the nut. I'll be using the rubber handles of my pliers. Heard good and bad about this method.. But I don't have the specific tool.
