Hummm.. Thought about that.. But didn't have anything that narrow and plyible to use.. Well I do have pop sticks but didn't think about that.. Plus I had heard that was a bad idea... I'll try it next time. Thanks for the heads up! This is the part that's all new to me.. Keep the tips and suggestions coming!

So I do have a ? here at this stage.. I know since the motor gets hot that there is really no need for loctite... So how often do u check the hardware on the motor? Do they loosen up or does the heat help keep the seeded?

Every thing on the motor stays Tight. but the exhaust I would get some longer bolts and nut to put the pipe on with if you can

Have to with this one.. The bolt holes for mounting the are not threaded.. The ones that came the SAB-55 are long enough.. But came with a regular nut.. I got nylock nuts to replace those. Thanks!

One thing I learned from some Nitro guys is on a Nitro heli you have to go over it a lot checking the bolts and make sure its all good

Well... I'm happy & plexed all at the same time... Got the clutch & fan mounted.. Put a little color on the motor.. Went to install the backplate sensor.. No go.. The bracket is a few mm short of resting on the edge of the backplate while the sensor is bottomed out.. Not sure what to do here... Fill in with some washers and get a longer bolt to make up the difference is all I can think of.. But it'll still be tight once I put the pressure line on.. Humm.. Anyhow.. Here it is w/out the sensor. Might drop the red and do another blue.. Only red on this one is the iKon.

Ok... Got it to sit down.. But the sensor is on the backplate with NO GAP... If I use the Spektrum mount, plastic.. It will surely break if I hunker down on the screw.. Option 2.. Use the KDE mount.. But may have to use the Dremel to carve the pressure line some room to fit on the nipple.. What to do?!?!?!

Forgot to answer u on the "2" TT bearings... I use 2 on all my helis.. Even the 450... I read about it a long time ago before I did my first build.. Figured it was a good idea.. So just put 2 on them.. If the kit calls for 1.. I order a second & use it.
Thats interesting from both points:)
My original thoughts on this were that over a long length the only reason for one was to allow for deviation or"throw" in the carbon rod.

For argument sake, if there was "throw" in the rod (which i have seen in most), then a second bearing may exaggerate the throw and not help it, depending on where it was. The end result may be excessive wear and vibration.

The flip side is it helps and reduces vibration if all alignment is true i.e. no "throw".

I suspect the later has been your experience?

From what i have read the back plate sensor should be on the bottom
It picks up at the bottom of the stroke of thd rod
I had to grind on my back plate to fit my sensor. Mine has fins in the plate

Didn't happen last night.... Had something better to do... Hehehehe.. But tonight I'm doing some prelim work.. Dry fitting the frame hardware & such.. Just try'n to get a feel for this heli & how it's made.. It'll give me a better idea of wire routing & such.. Should be pretty easy on this frame I think.. Funny.. The Align birds I can strip & rebuild with my eyes closed.. Seems like if u've built one Align.. U've built them all so to speek.. This frame is WAY different. Oh.. Got the sensor figured out.. I need to run by Hobbytown for some washers & possibly 2 longer screws.. Be Sunday at the earliest I'll be able to get there before they close.. No biggie tho.

The carbon that frames made of looks awesome. I did think about getting a synergy before I built my trex 550 the only thing that put me off was the price of some of the spare like the main gear.
