I got out to fly today.
I got out to fly today it as the first time in about a month and a half I think. And the first time I've flown the 41 edge 540 with the A3 Super connected, the system in normal stabilization mode made it fee rock solid.
Video to come. I had so much fun trying some new stuff.

Re: I got out to fly today.
Think I want to chnage the default embed res on these video to be 16x9 aspect at least. Most vids today are widescreen aspect so no need to keep rocking the 4x3 aspect embed window.

That's cool, Dan! Nice job!!!
next time, before take off, can you do a close up of the plane so that we can all see what it looks like? Then, like Tony requested, some close fly by's.

That's great, Dan! Best of luck to you! If you get this comment before you go flying, how about sharing some specs of the plane, too? I hope it's warmer where you are! It's bloody cold here!!!

Re: I got out to fly today.
I didn't get to fly this morning the wind picked up too much for my liking so I'll try again tomorrow.
Specs for the plane are:
3dhs 41" Edge 540 airframe
Omega 72g motor (3s @ 525w) made by 3dhs
60amp YGE ESC
4 x Savox SH-257MG servos
Hobby eagle A3 super 3 axis gyro
Futaba R2008SB receiver.
2200mah 25c 3s packs (until next spring when I will be replacing them with 1800mah 30c 3s)
I need to get the gyro dialed in a bit better.

Re: I got out to fly today.
The landing was OK I just had too walk quite a distance for it. The ground is pretty chewed up from soccer practice so I didn't want to risk bringing her back under power.

Re: I got out to fly today.
I kind of wonder if I push my batteries too far by trying to taxi back especially in deeper grass. My VisionAire only needs the new wings installed but I don't want to take them out of the box until I find a place to hang the plane from the ceiling or on a wall. 42" wing span takes up some floor space and I live in an apartment.

Re: I got out to fly today.
One of the good thing about the edge is the wings are removable they slide on a carbon tube and then bolt on, it takes a couple of mins to assemble.
