Vrx antenna orientation
Today when i landed my quad and watched the video back i noticed that im looking down with the goggles on and that the antenna is pointing straight out towards the field enven though its pointing up when im sat upright, So mt question is, is it ok to invert the antenna top of the mushroom pointing down and would i have to invert the vtx antenna?
FPV addict.
Re: Vrx antenna orientation
Should be fine, except the closer proximity to your face/skull may impact reception a little bit. Probably not noticeable.
Shouldn't need to invert the tx antenna. Mushroom implies circular/spherical polarization so up/down orientation shouldn't matter.

Re: Vrx antenna orientation
With CP antennas it does not really matter too much.
Are you getting much glitching in your video signal?
You will eventually get used to it and stop leaning and turning your head.
(After a few sore necks

Re: Vrx antenna orientation
Thanx guys
If it doesn't matter I'll just screw it in and leave it.
I get a bit of glitching when i'm low down at around 250m out its not bad though i'm really impress to be honest i didn't think the experience would be as good as it is.

Re: Vrx antenna orientation
I bend mine more than 90º, so when I do lean forward (as everyone does) its now horizontal to the ground.
Also on the quad I have the Antenna leaning back slightly. This because the quad is mostly tipped forward. So now my antenna is vertical.

I have mine (2) on a diversity receiver and a cord going to my goggles.
Doesn't matter where I put my head.
