URI From RCH
I thought I would make the first post.
I am a 2 yr old heli pilot that has not progressed much. I currently own two helis that are both broke at the moment. My first is an MSH Protos Mini and my second is a Gaui X3. Most of you know this already but when new folks sign up you now know. I also have realflight7 and have not been on that in a short while allthough I do have plans on going on tonight. I will have to see how much power is in my life pack before i fly.
My hobby really started in Korea when I bought an EXI 450 pro. This heli kept me from getting in trouble while in Korea, it kept the coffers empty most of time while I was there. I started it with below average electrics and then upgraded all the electrics just before I left. I did so in hopes of ordering a quality kit after returning home and as it turned out the electrics worked except the motor. The Protos mini uses a proprietary motor made by Scorpion. Once gthat was ordered and installed I was up and flying and enjoying the heck out of the thing. 6 months later it went in and the entire frame was destroyed along with the standard stuff with tail boom.
So instead of the rekit I got a Gaui X3 which in the long run is much better in the terms of replacement parts. When Gaui designed this kit they made sure it was a tank and would survive a good crash. I later found this out when the heli went in nose first on concrete. The airframe survived and the only stuff that broke are the usual shafts, boom and supports, blades and skids with bottom plate. THe only reason the bottom plate got replaced was due to the skid screws ripping out on impact.
I look forward to Mondays when the latest RCHN episode is released. I have listened to every podcast and enjoy their antics. Its not for everyone but it does give me more knowledge that has help not only myself but others that I have helped. One thing I recommend for new guys or folks with klimited troubleshooting skills is to listen to their Diggin In episode 4. It covers how to troubleshoot issues that may need to be done from time to time. I have been using those techniques ever since it was released.
Thats me in a nutshell.

Re: URI From RCH
Mistake I found its been 3 years not 2. I forgot that I was in Texas for two years and Korea for a year. So I am 3 years with CCPM helis.
It does read weird. Yeah I was trying to insinuate that I have been flying for 2 years not that I am 2 years old.
