New Goblin 500 main gear?

I got an email earlier tonight from SAB Heli Division saying that there is a new main gear coming out for the Gob 500. Looks like it is designed to have a lot more metal along the inner diameter of the gear face, similar to a Lynx upgrade main gear, with replaceable delrin gear. I checked helidirect and SAB's site but no mention of it.

Anyone else get the email or seen this on any sites?

Good news if it is true. It was a major flaw in the Gob 500 design. My original main gear cracked up badly during a crash. Had to rip the whole transmission apart to get it out. I heard of one local guy that had his main gear explode in mid air. I went with a lynx upgrade part after all that. Read a lot of others had the same issue with that model (and maybe the 570 too).

Wonder what price it will be and how it stacks up against the Lynx part.

Thats crazy coming from SAB. Never would have thought SAB would have had poorly designed parts.

Mine broke on the 570 during the crash I had.
I was going to order the Lynx, but i'll look into this one too.

I highly recommend the lynx upgrade. The replacement gears are cheaper and the fuller metal hub assembly is much more robust. Still waiting to see what pricing will be on these new SAB gears and if they will offer replacement delrin outer gears or if they'll force you to buy an entire new gear with the metal inner hub too.

Looks like the complete piece is all they'll sell, not replacement delrin outer gear pieces.
