On the stock settings the brain on my 500 feels robotic maybe, hard to really explain, it's solid but really quick to react and stop, not unconfortably robotic but different, need to play with it more as did not get a lot of flights on it last year,

The vortex while this is on a twitchy little bugger of a Heli normally feels a lot more manageable than my 500 it almost feels a bit more fluid or smooth, still very locked in though, and was defo much easier for me to tune,

Without really getting more flights on the 500 I can't really give a better comparison, but if another Vx1n came along I don't know if I could resist swapping it out, SL would be the only reason not to at the moment,

Well I got 3 batteries tonight and starting to find a fair bit of confidence with my orientations and putting the nose where I want it, this little 250 I freaking love how stable and controllable it is,

Well 3 batteries through the girl last night in the sports hall, was great as I have been playing with the quad for a couple of weeks, but I got back into the heli quick, but man they are two different disciplines, but I have to say I love my 250 dfc,

Well I had my 500 out tonight to stretch its legs, all I can say is it felt massive,

Thought I was going to need to tune the Spartan I swapped with Cam, which I have to say was faultless, but all I had to do was just take a little tail gain out, I do have to lower the tail stop gain as I'm getting a bit of bounce but I am very happy with it

I have to say I am further along with the two batteries than I was with the 20 flights I put on the heli when it had the brain, looked in and very stable, just need to bloody use the thing this year, mind you I put it in idle up and scared myself with the sound and power,

Do you think the spartan is that much better than the brain/ikon?

Yeah Derek I hear you, but if it was my first time in idle up I think I would have room to feel like that but as I have not flown it since Oct then it felt like the first time over again.

Paul. No well I don't know. I find the Vortex less robotic and so much easier to set up, before the flight last night all I done was basic setup with soko level and basic spartan wizard for 500 size heli then flew it, and all I need to adjust for my liking is tail gain and tail stop gain. But the helicopter flew great straight from the get go.

Flew a few mins on the 250 Rex last night but the flight was cut short due to one of our air gates

Helis are not as forgiving as quads,

3 new servos
Main shaft
Festering shaft
DFC ball ends
And
Pinion came loose on motor shaft

May have it on video I will see,

Awaiting new savox servos as the blade one burnt up, and all stripped gears,

wish it was close enough for a slow mo, but unfortunately not a good view but a sickening crunch none the less, was thinking to much of the quad you see half was through the video and went down that end of the hall to stay out of way as I did not know what he was doing,

never mind new servos will be here Monday and fitted for a good test flight on Wednesday,
