If you cant get access to a gymnasium Derek just send the helicopter back to me, its probably going be 4 more months of Winter and 8 degrees is really cold, and its in the 60s here almost 70s, I REALLY appreciate everything you help me with and Thank you guys that sent things to derek to help me with the rebuild of my 450

No problem, Dustin! I'll see about locating a box that I can put the helicopter and parts into. We'll have to meet up on Skype so that I can share my DX6i settings with you but other than that, the helicopter is ready to test. Just be sure to keep proper tension on the tail belt.

I'm sorry that it's taken so long but between my recent work schedule and all the crap days, I've just not been able to do much of anything. On the other hand, your helicopter has a lot of brand new parts. Everything moves smoothly.

I have to work the next 4 nights so I will try to get a shipping box for you, early next week, and we'll get this helicopter back to you.

One more thing...be sure to do some testing with the training gear on. Just try to hover it and move it around a bit. Then, once you are confident that everything is working properly, go ahead and remove the training gear and start flying.

Things here in the north east are looking fairly crappy right now. Snow won't stop falling, wind chills have been single digits to below zero. Can't wait til spring.

Yep...same here buddy! It's been so bad lately that even going to the mailbox isn't something fun to do. It's just cold, windy, and wet.

See that is my poiont, for 2 months its be in the 70s and 80s here, why would I let my buddy stand in the cold testing my helicopter when i can try to do the testing in 80 degrees weather, Sorry Derek that im taken the Heli back man, I cant say Thank You enough, you have help me so much, i seen the video you posted on youtube, you sounded very upset, again I dont want my buddy in the freezing cold when its in the 80s here

I just rewatched the video and I can see how you have the impression that I'm upset. I apologize for that. I didn't mean to sound upset. Not at all. I'm not upset that you want me to send the helicopter back to you. Not at all. It makes more sense to send the helicopter back to you. Your weather is much better than here. No worries at all. It's been repaired and is just waiting for finishing tests.

Don't think that I'm upset, Dustin! When I got the helicopter, I was happy to help you....and still to today, Im happy that I was able to help you.

I boxed up Dustins helicopter and parts last week. Shipped it off to him. According to the USPS Tracking, the package is "out for delivery". So, he's going to get it today. I'm looking forward to working with Dustin, via Skype, to get his DX6i bound to the helicopter and getting the helicopter in the air.

I just got a text message from Dustin. His helicopter has arrived at his house. I asked him if the box was damaged much at all and did the helicopter arrive safely. He did say Yes. I'm quite happy to hear that. So, we'll just have to bind the helicopter to his DX6i and then start loading the settings from my DX6i to his, via Skype.

Thanks Tony, im sure happy to get it back, been having fun with it, hoping i have time to get on Skype with Derek so I can get his DX6i settings, speaking of Dx6i my scolling wheel is becoming hard to press, im hoping to get a dx8 YAY i will be like the rest of the group, the Dx6i is by far a VERY good radio, i just need more options. Derek and my heli friends yall have helped me so much by sending Derek parts for my heli dont worry Derek I know you bought alot to, i wouldnt know what to do without you guys, thats for sure

with me and Derek working its hard to find time to get on skype to help me, I went into my Blade 450 3D book and copy the Dx6i setup when i get some time im going test my heli.

Dustin, if you are going to use the settings from the manual on your own, that's awesome! It will be a great starting point towards getting the 450 3D setup and it will give you some experience with the "setup aspect" of the helicopter. Go ahead and enter those settings. Then get a swash plate leveler (or use the zip tip method demonstrated on Youtube) and be sure that your swash plate is level. Then use the pitch gauge to be sure that you are getting +/- 10 degrees of collective pitch and 8 degrees of cyclic pitch. Then do a Google/Youtube search on setting up that GP780 gyro. It's a real easy gyro to program. Just take your time and follow the instructions.

Yeah.. Wish I had an extra for ya.. While there are other tricks to use.. There really is no substitute for a leveler... I have found the align 450 & 500-700 leveler can be used on several heli manufacturers.. If u can't get one from someone.. Do buy one... Setup tools are worth there weight in gold!
